1) “America’s Got Talent,” 8-10 p.m., NBC. The callbacks began last week, with Simon Cowell and Mel B each re-seeing six acts. He sent five (three singing, one dancing, one comedy) to the live shows that will start Aug. 18; she sent three (two singing, plus a mentalist duo). Now Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara (shown here, left and with arms raised, in a previous season) have their turns.
2) “Password,” 10 p.m., NBC. Yes, Wayne Brady seems to be on all game shows. He was in a rerun of ABC’s “Family Feud” Monday, hosts CBS’ “Let’s Make a Deal” daily and was the second champion of Fox’s “Masked Singer.” Now he competes with Jimmy Fallon; the second half-hour has Dorinda Medley, formerly of “Real Housewives of New York City.”
3) “NCIS,” 10 p.m., CBS. This is one of the occasional weeks with two nights of “Survivor 50” reruns, instead of one. That’s 8-10 p.m. today, ousting two “NCIS” spin-offs and nudging this rerun to 10: After a drone pilot is murdered, the probe leads to a woman from McGee’s past.
4) “Shifting Gears,” 2-8:30 p.m., Freeform. The third season won’t arrive on ABC until mid-season, but here’s the full second one The first couple episodes put Tim Allen and Jenna Elfman in a romance of opposites. Then his daughter (Kat Dennings) has problems with work, family and beyond.
5) ALSO: HBO’s “Hard Knocks” series returns at 9 p.m., visiting the training camp of the Super Bowl-champion Seattle Seahawks. Also at 9, ABC has two “Will Trent” reruns: First, an alien-abduction claim leads to a darker truth; then is the hunt for the evil Adelaide and for Will’s uncle, Antonio.
