1) “Private Eyes West Coast” debut, 8 p.m., CW. The producers of CW’s fun “Wild Cards” launch another Canadian crime tale. In their “Private Eyes,” Jason Priestley and Cindy Sampson (shown here) worked for a Toronto detective agency. Now they quit their jobs and move to the serenity of Victoria, in British Columbia. There, of course, they find a murder.
2) “Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent” season-opener, 9 p.m., CW. Here’s another Canadian show — but not in the breezy style of the others. Graff (seemingly an expert on everything) and Bateman are hard-edged cops. Here, they probe the murder of the charismatic head of a park encampment.
3) “Harlan Coben’s Final Twist” season-opener, 10 p.m., CBS. After a mid-season tryout, this true-crime series gets a regular spot, behind the “FBI” and “CIA” season-openers. This case — an intriguing one — involves the death of a church-going mom who had a sometimes-explosive husband.
4) “Independent Lens: My Omaha,” 10 p.m., PBS, This one takes some patience, as a young filmmaker goes home to explore black-white rifts in Omaha and left-right rifts in his own family. The first half produces little from either side; eventually, the film does find its emotional core.
5) MORE: NBC continues “The Voice” auditions at 8 p.m., then has a new “Line of Fire” hour at 10: Clare (an FBI agent) and her brother Russ (a Department of Justice analyst) probe a possible grand jury tampering. And “Signora Volpe” opens its season with a movie-length mystery on www.acorn.tv; we had mistakenly listed that for last Monday.
