Best-bets for June 19: A busy, passionate Juneteenth

1) “Fight the Power: The Movements That Changed America,” 8 p.m., History. On Juneteenth – a day that celebrates the end of slavery — this film views the impact of key movements. Co-produced by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, it ranges from early civil rights protests to current Black Lives Matter (shown here) ones, plus others involving gays, women and union members. 2) Juneteenth movies, cable. For the first time, TV focuses strongly on the holiday, with Black-themed films. “Selma” (2014) is 7 a.m. on FX, 8 and 10:40 p.m. on FX Movies, and then Sunday on CBS. FX follows with “The Hate U Give” (2018) at 10 a.m.; “BlacKkKlansman” (2018) at 1 p.m.;“Green Book” (2018) at 4 p.m.; and “Hidden Figures” (2016) at 7 and 10. TBS has Michael B. Jordan starring in the “Creed” films (2015 and 2018) at noon and 2:30, then co-starring in “Black Panther” (2018) at 5.

3) And more: A “Black-ish” marathon on FXX starts (7 a.m.) and ends (3:30 p.m.) with the episode about Juneteenth. The AXS channel has Black music profiles – Motown at 3 p.m. ET; Diana Ross and the Supremes, 3:30; New York’s hip hop scene, 4; James Brown, 4:30; Stevie Wonder, 5; Prince, 5:30; Lenny Kravitz, 6:30 and Tina Turner 7 and 10:30; her 1990 Barcelona concert is at 8 and 11:30. And Turner Classic Movies has music films – from gospel at noon ET to “Krush Groove” (1985) at 10 p.m.

4) “Celebrity Family Feud” and “Celebrity Dating Game,” 8 and 9 p.m., ABC. In case we missed the season-openers, here are quick reruns. “Feud” starts with the families of Rob Lowe and Terrence Howard. “Dating Game” finds guys for Hannah Brown and Nicole Beyer.

5) “Saturday Night Live,” 11:29 p.m., NBC. Carey Mulligan, the two-time Oscar-nominee (“An Education,” “Promising Young Woman”) hosts this rerun. It’s her first time, but her husband, Marcus Mumford, has been the music guest twice, with Mumford & Sons. This time, he shows up in her opening monologue; Kid Cudi is the music guest.
