2).“American Idol” season-finale, 8-11 p.m., ABC. Three teens remain. Megan Danielle, from Georgia, is 16; Colin Stough, from Mississippi, and Iam Tongi, from Hawaii, are each 18. After lots of music and commotion, one of them will be the show’s 21st winner.

3) “Masterpiece: Tom Jones” finale, 9 p.m., PBS. The first three hours have been tough on Tom, a handsome and good-hearted soul. He’s loved Sophia since childhood, but has no title to match hers and no money. Now an older temptress (Hannah Waddingham from “Ted Lasso”) tells her about their affair. There’s more, including jail. Still, the show retains its sunny, goofy sort of charm.

4) “The Simpsons” season-finale, 8 p.m., Fox. After a car accident, time stands still for Homer. Fortunately, there’s a singing angel (Lizzo) to help his life pass before him, including a secret about his marriage. That’s followed by the season-finales of “Great North” and “Bob’s Burgers” … plus “Housebroken” (9:30 p.m.), which will continue to have new episodes throughout the summer.

5) ALSO: It’s a big night for CBS, with the season-finales of “60 Minutes” and “Equalizer” at 7 and 8 p.m. and a celebration of “NCIS: Los Angeles” at 10. And at 9, there’s the weekly collision of cable hits – “Succession” on HBO, “Yellowjackets” on Showtime and “Fear the Walking Dead” on AMC.
