1) “MasterChef” season-opemer, 8 p.m., Fox. In a fresh twist, this season will pit home chefs from four generations. That starts with millennials (mostly early 30s), incluiding Priya Krishna as guest judge. After a too-long, 10-minute intro, we meet a lawyer, a tax director, a “kitchen witch” and more. They’re interesting people with big food plans..

3) “Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars,” 9 p.m., Fox. Ramsay gets the whole night on Fox — first “MasterChef” and then this one. He and Lisa Vanderpump have teams, in an “Apprentice”-style match-up. “Apprentice,” however, made sure that every element (including promotion) was important. In this one, the lines at food trucks are so long that nothing matters except speed and pricing.

4) “Walker” and “Sight Unseen,” 8 and 9 p.m., CW. With the summer line-ups starting, these are two of the only scripted, non-rerun shows on a broadcast network. First, Walker hears about Geri’s business venture and his parents have differing views of retirement. Then Sunny obsesses on the disappearance of two influencers. That lets Tess try to crack Sunny’s personal secrets.

5) “Reginals the Vampire,” 10 p.m., Syfy. This episode is surprisingly soft and sweet – espectially for a show about a pudgy vampire who works at a Slushy Shack. Early on, there’s a tragedy that people confront in human ways. For this week, they don’t have much time to ponder the imminent end of their species.
