1) “MasterChef,” 8 p.m., Fox. After choosing its finalists last week, the show pauses. This episode (which reruns Friday) has outtakes plus profiles of the remaining duos. There’s a married, Latino couple (Rachel Sanchez and Julio Figuerdo), a Vietnamese native and her niece (Tina Duong and Aivan Tran) and a longtime couple (Jessica Bosworth and Jesse Rosenwald).

2) “Match Game” season-finale, 8 p.m., ABC. It’s been a short (just eight episodes) but successful season for this reboot, with Martin Short hosting. Tonight, Oscar-winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph is a panelist, plus Randall Park, Kal Penn, Adam Pally, Beannie Goldstein and Ana Gasteyer. A rerun follows.

3) “Big Cats” and “Sacred Planet,” 8 and 10 p.m. Wednesday, PBS. It’s an early start to PBS’ fall line-up — at least for Wednesdays. “Big Cats” returns to a Botswana delta; the five-week “Sacred Planet” (gorgeously filmed, but clumsily narrated) follows an eco-journalist as she sees indigenous people nurture the land. Next week, “Nova” starts its season.

4) “Family Law,” 8 p.m., CW. A week before the two season-finale episodes, this hour is all about AI: Abby’s client wants her ex-husband to delete an AI image of their deceased daughter. Daniel must convince the court that his client has a stable, monogamous relationship with an AI doll.

5) “Downton Abbey Celebrates the Grand Finale,” 9 p.m., NBC. The splendid “Downton” has had a great run — six seasons on PBS and three movies in theaters. Three days before the third one opens, NBC (whose corporate earner produces the show) offers memories from cast members.
