2) “The American Revolution,” 8 p.m., PBS, rerunning at 10. Weather plays a brutal part now. It’s freezing in Valley Forge; the Battle of Monmouth is on a 96-dedree day, described by a soldier as “like the mouth of an oven.” When Charleston falls, both sides feel a British victory is inevitable. Friday’s finale will prove them wrong.

3) “Elsbeth,” 9 and 10 p.m., CBS. Here’s a double helping of one of TV’s best shows. First is a new hour, with anger after a pop star buys a convent. Then is a rerun of the season-opener: The story is so-so, but the cast — Stephen Colbert as a talk-show host, Andy Richter as his sidekick — is perfect.

4) “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” 8 p.m., CBS. Last week ended with Conner somber after a break-up. Now others try to cheer him up, while he ponders changing his life. That’s followed by “Ghosts,” with Sam on a road trip with Pete, the only ghost who can travel.

5) “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” finale, 9 p.m., Fox. Five people (of 18) have reached the final ordeal. There’s gymnast Shawn Johnson East and her husband, football’s Andrew East, plus people from the podcast/reality world — Kody Brown, Gia Giudice and Briana LaPaglia. Last year, two of five survived this round; the year before, it was three of five.
