1) “Matlock” season-finale, 9-11 p.m., CBS. A year overdue, the show finally wraps its main story. This is the episode viewers expected a year ago: Matty and Olympia push to pin blame on the burying of a report that could have saved lives. It starts poorly (a dream scene, rarely a good idea) and has odd twists involving Senior’s ex-wife (shown here) and others, but ultimately gets a good show back on track.
2) Football draft, 8-11 p.m. ET, ABC, ESPN, NFL Network. For the next three days, football fans will obsess. Today has only the first round, with the next two on Friday and the final four Saturday afternoon. Also today, ESPN and NFL have previews at 7; NFL also has a recap at 11:30.
3) “Animal Control” season-finale, 9 p.m., Fox. This starts with a puppy stampede and ends with a cautionary tale about photo booths. In between, Frank and his nemesis compete for Animal Control Officer of the Year. Big moments — some very funny, some just weird — abound.
4) “Going Dutch” season-finale, 9:32 p.m., Fox. Oddly, this wraps its season in the same way “Animal Control” does — a large gathering, where a key vote takes place. This is over who — Quinn or Martin (Denis Leary or Kristen Johnston) — will head the new NATO base. It’s maybe 53 percent as clever as “Control,” but does have some funny moments.
5) ALSO: At 8 p.m., NBC’s “Law & Order” finds Maroun facing her former mentor in a murder case … Fox’s “Next Level Chef” has the final seven creating noodle dishes … and CBS’; “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” finds double trouble: Mandy adjusts to her new jpb; her mom clashes with a tradition-bound country club
