1) Stephen Colbert farewell, 11:35 p.m., CBS. A great CBS tradition — late-night wit, with 22 years of David Letterman and 11 of Colbert (shown here) — skids to an end. CBS says the show was losing money; others say the change was made to appease Donald Trump. Either way, a once-great network is diminished … but not until it has a big-deal farewell.

2) “Next Level Chef” finale, 8 p.m., Fox. The season ends with three likable chefs going for the $250,000 prize. Darian Bryan has a restaurant in Buffalo — far from his Jamaican birthplace. Cole Lawson (a competitive poet and a Navy veteran) and Connor Caine (a musician) have Cajun roots, but work in the Los Angeles area. Their finale is fast and fun.
3) “Ghosts” season-finale, 9 and 9:30 p.m., CBS. These are the last episodes for a while, so we should savor them. (“Ghosts” won’t be back until mid-season; this fall, its slot goes to a new comedy from the same producers.) Now the inn’s future wobbles in both episodes. The second has others try to manage the ghosts while Sam is gone on a career opportunity.
4) More season-finales. CBS’ “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” has new episodes at 8 (Mandy and her dad take over the shop when the others are sick) and 8:30 (Georgie’s mom seems to like his business rival). At 9 is Fox’s “Fear Factor: 48 Hours of Fear”; at 10, CBS’ “Elsbeth” has Patti LuPone, a three-time Tony-winner, as a legendary cabaret star.
5) More: The basketball playoffs continue at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN … which will go back to hockey on Friday. And ABC has reruns of “9-1-1” at 8 and “9-1-1: Nashville” at 9, linking them for a “firefighter games” episode at 10.
