Best-bets for June 5: crises for ranchers, cops, more

1) “Dutton Ranch,” Paramount+. Here’s a pivotal episode in what has quickly become a great series. Last week, a tragedy shattered the cattle ranch. 2) “Sheriff Country” and “Fire Country,” 8 and 9 p.m., CBS. Crossover hours plunge the characters into a high-stakes crisis. First, a school-bus explosion leaves nine students missing; the sheriff and fire chief investigate, Then Bode and Nathan risk their lives in a rescue attempt.

2) “Farmer Wants a Wife,” 8 and 9 p.m., Fox. We can catch up by seeing these two reruns. First is the May 26 episode, with solo dates; then is this past Tuesday’s hour, meeting the families.

4) Basketball, 8:30 p.m. ET, ABC, with pre-game at 8. The Knicks got to the finals quickly, winning 11 straight playoff games. The Spurs had a rougher road: One game away from elimination, they won twice to take the semi-finals. Now these two collide for Game 2 of the best-of-seven series.

5) ALSO: At 9 p.m., CW has two new episodes of “Totally Funny Animals” … some PBS stations have reruns of two “Craft in America” hours … and Starz wraps its “Amadeus” mini-series: As an ailing Mozart works on his epic “Requiem Mass,” his nemesis Salieri confronts him.
