1) “The Floor” finale, 8-10 p.m., Fox. There are some wild combinations here — a “wine” category for someone who’s not old enough to drink (shown here, right), a “world religions” one for someone who’s never been in a church. Ultimately, we see the show’s strength and its flaws and unfairness. The strengths prevail, in a fast-paced finish.
2) “Brilliant Minds,” 8 p.m., NBC. Dr. Wolf now realizes that he imagined someone (Sofia) to take care of. For now, he’ll stay as a patient in this psychiatric hospital … where he meets a shattered patient, superbly played by Mamie Gummer, Meryl Streep’s daughter. It’s a terrific episode.
3) “Harlan Coben’s Final Twist,” 8 p.m., CBS. This is the intriguing story of a woman who was killed the night she rented out her farm for a wedding. That starts a rerun night for CBS, with “Blue Bloods” at 9 (a basketball star is threatened) and “FBI” at 10 (a break-in at the evidence locker).
4) Basketball, 8:30 p.m. ET, ABC, with pre-game show at 8. It’s the fourth game of the best-of-seven series between the Spurs and Knicks. The other games, if needed, are Saturday, Tuesday and June 19.
5) “Top Gun” (1986), 8:30 p.m., AMC. Last month, this passed its 40th anniversary, still thriving. It was the top box-office film of ’86 and its sequel was tops in 2022. With dazzling visuals, a great soundtrack and Tom Cruise, this remains a pleasure; preceding it at 6 is another gem, “Speed” (1994).
