1) “The Voice” season-opener, 8-10 p.m., NBC. This is one of the rare times when half of the judges are new. Queen Latifah and country’s Riley Green (shown here) join the 19th year for Adam Levine and 11th for Kelly Clarkson, each with four champions so far. This week, blind auditions continue from 8-10 p.m. Tuesday and 8-9 Wednesday.
2) “Line of Fire,” 10 p.m., NBC. Mike (Peter Krause) is a Secret Service; his estranged wife (Hope Davis) is a U.S. marshal. Their daughter is in the FBI; their sons are in the Secret Service and the Department of Justice. These folks are busy — but also kind of distant and reticent. In this crowded hour, there’s little here to get the viewers involved.
3) “New York: A Documentary Film,” 9-11 p.m., PBS; concludes Tuesday. Jack Maple was an unlikely hero — a stout chap with retro taste in bow ties, bowler hats and such. But he gave New York City crime-fighting success (using early computers) that was widely copied. He’s key to this chapter, a good one, that’s followed by an even better finale Tuesday.
4) “Celebrity Weakest Link” season-opener, 9 p.m., Fox. Here’s a clever idea — an episode filled with villains in reality shows, then (Richard Hatch, the first “Survivor” winner, and Omarosa) and now (Tom Sandoval of “Vanderpump Rules”), The result is kind of fun; the “Name That Tune” opener (with Robin Thicke replacing Randy Jackson) at 8 isn’t.
5) “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” 9 p.m., FX. In a rare misfire, this episode flails about, before finding its strength — funny “Gilligan’s Island” variations and (apparently) an appearance by the grandson of that show’s creator. That’s followed by a great “Adults” rerun, complete with raccoon.
