2) “Dexter: Resurrection,” 8 p.m., Showtime, rerunning at 9. Here’s another season-opener, the exact opposite of the high-society “Gilded Age.” It focuses on serial killer of people he feels deserve it. In the first season (rerunning from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.), he headed to New York to find his son … who now knows his dad’s secret and is a New York cop.

3) “Maigret,” 9 p.m., PBS. Two complex stories entwine, involving widowed dads. This starts a two-parter; like the previous one, it reaches its midway point with a jolt. That’s surrounded by other smart mysteries — “Professor T” at 8 p.m. and the fascinating, true-crime tale “The Gold” at 10.

4) “Tracker,” 9:30 p.m., CBS (but 9 p.m. on the West Coast). Colter again links with his brother, this time to find the kidnapped wife and daughter of a military contractor. That’s followed by a quick rerun of Thursday’s terrific “Cupertino,” which had Christy in a high-altitude, high-tech adventure.

5) MOVIES: At 7 p.m., the Disney Channel has “Coco,” an animated gem set on the Day of the Dead — which is today. Other top films: “Ocean’s Eleven,” 7 p.m., CW; “Princess Bride,” 7:30, Syfy; “Jerry Maguire,” 8 p.m., VH1; “Mrs. Doubtfire,” 8:02, ABC. Also, “Gone With the Wind” sprawls across Turner Classic Movies, from 4-8 p.m. ET.
