Best-bets for Nov. 13: holiday flurry & Swift “SNL”

1) “A Picture Perfect Holiday,” 8 p.m., Lifetime. We’re still 12 days from Thanksgiving, but Christmas movies abound. The Hallmark Channel started new ones before Halloween; at 8 p.m. today, it has “My Christmas Family Tree” and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has “Christmasin My Heart.” Now others jump in. At 7 and 11 p.m. ET, UPtv debuts “A Snowy Christmas.” At 8, Lifetime has Tatyana Ali (shown here) of “Fresh Prince,” as a fashion photographer; on a reluctant vacation, she meets a willdlife photographer. 1) “A Picture Perfect Holiday,” 8 p.m., Lifetime. We’re still 12 days from Thanksgiving, but Christmas movies abound. The Hallmark Channel started new ones before Halloween; at 8 p.m. today, it has “My Christmas Family Tree” and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has “Christmasin My Heart.” Now others jump in. 2) “Saturday Night Live,”11:29 p.m., NBC. Taylor Swift has her fifth time as the music guest. She also hosted one of those, but now that job goes to Jonathan Majors, who starred in “Lovecraft Country.”

3) “FBI,” 8 p.m., CBS. This reruns the episode (from a year ago) that was the delayed season-opener. It introduced a new FBI agent – Katherine Renee Turner as Tiffany Wallace – in a story about a mass shooting at a media company. That’s followed at 9 by an “FBI: Most Wanted” rerun; in a kidnapping story, it introduces Amy Carlson in a recurring role as a bounty hunter.

4) Football. Some of the better match-ups come early: Oklahoma (ranked No. 8) visits Baylor (No. 13) at noon ET on Fox; Ohio State (No. 4) hosts Purdue at 3:30 p.m. on ABC. Then ABC follows at 7:30 with Notre Dame (No. 9) at Virginia; at 8, Fox has Oklahoma State (No. 10) hosting Texas Christian.

5) Movies. “The French Connection” (1971) is a terrific cop film, highlighted by director William Friedkin’s beautifully crafted car chase. That’s at 8 p.m. ET on Turner Classic Movies, followed at 10 by Friedkin’s “To Live and Die in LA” (1985), with another ig chase. Families can catch animation on Freeform, led by “Bolt” (2018) and “The Secret Life of Pets”(2019), at 5:20 and 7:30 p.m.
