2) Basketball draft, 8 p.m. ET, ABC and ESPN. Networks keep grasping for sports events – ones that viewers will watch in real time, commercials and all,. Tbat gives an advantage to ABC, which owns ESPN. This month, it has the finals for pro basketball (just concluded) and hockey (continuing Friday, barring a sweep). And now it has the draft. Orlando goes first, pondering Gonzaga 7-footer Chet Holmgren and two guys – Jabari Smith Jr. of Auburn and Paolo Banchero of Duke – who are merely 6-foot-10.

3) “Walker” season-finale, 8 p.m., CW. Past events complicate life. Gale (Paula Marshall) – the district attorney’s mother and a longtime foe of Cordell Walker’s mother – comes clean to Geri (Odette Annable), Cordell’s friend. That forces Cordell to face a long-buried part of his own past. Also, Trey ponders an offer from Capt. James.

4) “Young Sheldon,” 8 p.m., CBS. Midway in its fifth season, this show launched its best storyline. Here’s the start of ir, overshadowed by a so-so main story. The main one: There’s a youth overnight party; Sheldon’s mom wants him to spy, reporting on any wrongdoing. And the other: At the laundry he runs for his grandmother; Georgie meets an attractive woman (Emily Osment); she’s 29 … and doesn’t realize he’s 17. In the weeks ahead, we’ll see new depth in both people.

5) “Ghosts,” 9 p.m., CBS. This clever show has the freedom to discover new ghosts, as needed. In this rerun, it finds one in the attic: A high school “mean girl,” she died on prom night; now it may be time to re-create a prom. That’s followed by a “B Positive” that added – too late, alas – a promising new character: Norma (Linda Lavin) is sarcastic, but now we meet her nastier sister … played by Rondi Reed, in a fun role similar to her “Mike & Molly” years.
