Best-bets for March13: lots of laughs (plus sharks)

1) “Animal Control” season-finale, 9 p.m., Fox. An excellent – but too short – season concludes with a fresh crisis: Frank (Joel McHale, right) botched the funding for a kennel for dogs awaiting adoption; then he reluctantly begged a “dog expert” (Ken Jeong) for the money. 2) “Going Dutch” season-finale, 9:31 p.m., Fox. It’s been a mixed (but kinda fun) first season. Denis Leary stars as a self-obsessed colonel, exiled to the least-important Army base. Now he forgets, yet again, the birthday of his daughter, Capt. Quinn. A grand gesture may make things worse.

3) “9-1-1” and “Doctor Odyssey,” 8 and 9 p.m., ABC. Both shows wrap up two-parters. On “9-1-1,” a caller has lured Maddie into a dangerous solo mission; on “Odyssey,” shark-bite victims are treated amid a power outage. At 10, Meredith and Nick re-visit “Grey’s Anatomy.”

4) “Ghosts,” 8:30 p.m., CBS. Here, four days early, is the St. Patrick’s Day episode. On that holiday, Jay’s cousin visits and Hetty reveals her ghost power. That’s preceded by “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” in which we learn Georgie’s grandma has a secret sports-bets operation. “Matlock” and “Elsbeth” have new episodes at 9 and 10.

5) “Wheel of Time” season-opener, Amazon Prime. This three-episode burst starts with Rand fighting dual forces, then starting a journey with Moiraine and others. Also streaming today is Peacock’s “Long Bright River,” with Amanda Seyfried as a Philadelphia cop, working a tough opioid case.
