Best-bets for May 8: It’s a double-delight — Elsbeth and Charlie

1) “Elsbeth” season-finale, 9 p.m., CBS. It’s a real stretch to plunk Elsbeth into prison, alongside eight people she helped convict. But it’s worth it, to see them again. 2) “Poker Face” season-opener, Peacock. One of TV’s best shows is back, starting with three great hours. The first two — Cynthia Erivo in multiple roles, Giancarlo Esposito running a funeral home — have a long prelude and murder, then flash back to the arrival of Charlie (Natasha Lyonne). The third has her from the start, in a game-changing delight.

3) Academy of Country Music awards, 8 p.m. ET, Amazon Prime. For its 60th show, the ACM has a 12-minute opening medley of past song-of-the-year winners, performed by Reba McEntire (the host), Clint Black, Wynonna Judd, LeAnn Rimes, Sugarland and Dan + Shay. There are also performances by Blake Shelton, Kelsea Ballerini, Alan Jackson, many more.

4) “Grey’s Anatomy,” 10 p.m., ABC. Jo has seen some tough times. Her first husband was abusive; he died before they finished their divorce. Her second (Alex) was a good guy who left her for his ex-wife. Now she tries again. A week before the season-finale, it’s her wedding day with Link.

5) “Ghosts” season-finale, 8:30, CBS. The launch of Sam’s book is darkened by the return of two ghosts, Patience and Elias. CBS starts the night at 8 with “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” (Mother’s Day gets tangled) and ends it at 10 with Alan Ruck playing feuding twins in an “Elsbeth” rerun.
