2) “Elsbeth,” 9 and 10 p.m., CBS. Now that “Matlock” has ended its season — and won’t be back until mid-season — “Elsbeth” gets the 9 p.m., slot, where it belongs. It’s a light show, ideal for following comedies. Tonight, Constance Wu plays a “wealth therapist” who knows too much. A rerun is at 10, with a bio-hacker obsessing on longevity.

3) Comedies. In a change of plans, Fox has reruns of the excellent “Animal Control,” at 9 and 9:30. That rounds out a comedy night that starts (8 p.m., CBS) with a new “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriag,” that has Georgie’s family …including (via dream scene, perhaps) Georgie’s late father.

4) “9-1-1: Nashville,” 9 p.m., ABC. Tonight’s troubles involve people, not fires: Dixie (LeAnn Rimes), the country-music singer, has a diss track about Blythe (Jessica Capshaw), triggering a fight between Blythe and her husband Don (Chris O’Donnell). That follows a “9-1-1” in whiich Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) adjusts to being a supervisor.

5) Movies. The “Devil Wears Prada” sequel reaches theaters Friday, but first catch the original, a 2006 gem. It’s 7:30 p.m. today on Freeform and 8:07 p.m. Friday on HBO. And at 8 ET, Turner Classic Movies has “Terms of Endearment” (1983); it won Oscars for Shirley MacLaine and Jack Nicholson and three for James L. Brooks — best picture, director and script.
