1) “The Traitors: New Blood” debut, 8 and 9 p.m., NBC. The Peacock version and Alan Cumming (shown here) have already won three straight Emmys for best reality show and best host. Now we get the network version, with strangers (including “killers”) in a Scottish castle. This one skips celebrities; instead, it has a doctor, a nurse, a pilot and two lawyers, plus a rodeo guy, an ironworker, a dog groomer and more.
2) “Adults” season finales, 9 and 9:34-10:10 p.m., FX and FXX. The first episode goes astray, centering on Anton blurting a forbidden word. But it has good moments near the end … followed by a great episode as Paul Baker runs for head of the homeowners group. A clever story is boosted by great work from David Paymer and Zosia Mamet, as the opposition.
3) “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” 10:30 p.m., CBS. When Mandy’s mom punishes little Cece, disputes build. It’s a funny rerun, but it’s nudged back to the end of the night, due to a two-hour “Big Brother” and a 10 p.m. rerun previewing CBS’ season … which doesn’t start until Oct. 4.
4) “9-11,” 8 p.m., and “9-1-1: Nashville,” 9 and 10, ABC. The first two hours focus on Buck. First, he tries to deal with post-kidnap trauma alone; then he and Eddie travel to Nashville for the Firefighter Games. That’s followed at 10 by Taylor getting a chance to record with a country star.
5) MOVIES: Fun films include “School of Rock,” 6 p.m., Paramount Network; and “Ferris Bueller’s Big Day,” 6:30, AMC. Also, FX has Spider-Man films at 3 and 6 p.m. and Freeform has non-cartoon remakes — a fairly good “Littler Mermaid” at 5 and a gorgeous “Beauty and the Beast” at 8. And at 8 ET, Turner Classic Movies has “2001: A Space Odyssey.”
