1) “Top Hat,” 9 p.m., PBS. The silly plot stretches a mistaken identity to the breaking point; still, the show redeems itself with superb song and dance. Based on a 1935 movie (with extra Irving Berlin songs added), this has gifted stars Phillip Attmore (shown here) and Amara Okereke doing “Cheek to Cheek,” “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” “Let’s Face the Music and Dance” and more.
2) “Dutton Ranch” debut, Paramount+. This opens with the splendor of the departed “Yellowstone” — grand vistas along Montana mountains. Then it changes, amid spectacular action. Reviews are embargoed, so we’ll stick to the basics: There’s a cinematic feel and crisp blue-collar dialog, as Beth and Rip head into a harsh and unwelcoming world.
3) “Outlander” series-finale, 8 p.m., Starz, rerunning at 10:16. For eight seasons — spread over 12 years — we’ve seen the time-trekking romance of a 20th-century Englishwoman and an 18th-century Scottish Highlander. Now he’s on the rebels’ side in the American Revolutionary War. An epic battle will be fatal to many, possibly including Jamie.
4) “Fire Country,” 9 p.m., CBS. As a volatile blaze nears the dam, it sets off cascading infrastructure failures. requiring dangerous rescues. That’s followed by”Boston Blue,” with Mae (the district atorney) revealing a secret and Lena (her daughter, a cop) making a life-changing decision.
5) MORE: At 8 p.m., ABC has the “Celebrity Jeopardy” finale. Also at 8, CBS’ “Sheriff Country” has a scheme involving a tangle of local land deals. Maren Morris, the country/pop star, plays the sponsor of the sheriff’s daughter in the alcohol and drug-abuse program.
