1) “The Walking Dead: Dead City,” 9 p.m., AMC. In this post-apocalyptic world, zombies are a mere inconvenience; other problems loom. Last week ended with an earthquake taking away much of the food supply; this one ends with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan, shown here) launching a fresh and intensely personal crisis. It’s well-made, but messy.
2) Football, 8 p.m. ET, Fox. The Super-Bowl-champion Seahawks are everywhere. They’re in “Hard Knocks: Training Camp” (9 p.m. Tuesdays, HBO) and in this pre-season game. They face the Titans, who were 4-13 last year and landed the No. 4 draft pick, receiver Carnell Tate.
3) “Marshals,” 10 p.m., CBS. There’s no “Trackers” tonight, because “Big Brother” has a two-hour episode at 8. Then “Marshal” reruns its second hour, a fairly good one. New to the U.S. marshals, Kayce finds himself on a mounted mission against domestic terrorists.
4) “The American President” (1995), 7:30-10 p.m., CW; or “Oppenheimer” (2023), 8 p.m., Syfy. Here are movie masters: Rob Reiner directed the charming “American President,” from a script by Aaron Sorkin … who went on to create “The West Wing.” Christopher Nolan directed the Oscar-winning “Oppenheimer” … then made the current gem, “Odyssey.”
5) ALSO: ABC has the mild “Father of the Bride Part II” (1995) at 8:33. NBC usually has Sunday baseball, but today it’s basketball, with the Fever and Sky at 7 ET. Baseball fans can try the Braves-Brewers at 7 on ESPN or Penny Marshall’s terrific “A League of Their Own” (1992), at 9 on CMT.
