1) “Brilliant Minds,” 8 p.m., NBC. For its final six episodes, this wades into heavy turf. Sofia seems real to Dr. Wolf, but others feel he’s imagining her. Now he’s admitted himself into a psych institution, while his colleagues (shown here) handle a tough case at the hospital. Pivotal and emotional events follow.
2) Basketball finals begin, 8:30 p.m. ET, ABC, with pre-game show at 8. Now we see just far the Knicks can push this winning streak. A good team in the regular season (53-29 record, sixth best), they’ve been a great one in the play-offs. They’ve won 11 straight games, by an average margin of 24 points. Now they’re back, after an eight-day lay-off.
3) “MasterChef,” 8 p.m., Fox. Gordon Ramsay, a former soccer player, continues his obsession with the World Cup, which starts June 11 on Fox. This time, contestants don jerseys and make backyard, game-day meals. That’s followed by “The Floor,” with its youngest contestant ever.
4) “The Final Twist,” 8 p.m., CBS. Filling the five-week gap before “Big Brother” begins, CBS has reruns on Wednesdays. This true-crime show repeats an intriguing story that includes a gullible guy who was tricked (via internet) into helping with a murder. “Boston Blue” and “FBI” follow.
5) More drama reruns. CW’s “Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent” (9 p.m.) sees a stabbing case become entangled in mayoral politics. On NBC, “Chicago Fire” (9) has desperate steps, when a traffic jam keeps the ambulance from getting to the hospital. Then “Chicago P.D.” (10) has a string of violent robberies expose a family’s secrets.
