1) “American Experience,” 9 p.m., PBS. For 38 years, this has given us great documentaries, winning 30 Emmys and 14 Peabodys. It was suspended this season (after federal funding cuts), but now it starts a splendid summer of reruns. 2) “Bear Grylls is Running Wild” season-finale, 9 p.m., Fox. In his 50s, Colman Domingo has seen his movie career soar — two Oscar nominations plus roles in “Michael” (as the star’s dad) and Steven Spielberg’s upcoming “Disclosure Day.” Now he and Grylls start 11,000 feet above the Irish Sea, then plunge into an adventure.

3) “Farmer Wants a Wife” finale, 8 p.m., Fox. Each guy now has two women to choose from. Each is in her mid-20 and two are “medical aestheticians”: (Brittney is in Braden’s group with Casey, a project manager; Quinn is in Brett’s with Hanna, a retail manager.) Sean’s group has Carson, a wedding planner, and Emily, an events specialist.

4) “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” (1977), 8 p.m. ET, Turner Classic Movies. Three days before Steven Spielberg’s “Disclosure Day” reaches theaters, here’s one of the all-time great films. It’s followed at 10:30 by Spielberg’s “A.I.” (2001) … which, alas, doesn’t reflect much about the current artificial intelligence controversies.

5) MORE: Game 4 of hockey’s best-of-seven Stanley Cup finals is at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Also, “America’s Got Talent” is 8 p.m. on NBC, followed at 10 by Ariana Madix facing Jimmy Fallon on “Password.”
