Sub-titled “An Almost History of America,” it’s a six-week sketch-comedy series produced by Barack Obama, who was president, and Larry David (shown here with the Wright Brothers, sort of), who wasn’t.

2) “Firing Line,” 8-9 p.m., PBS. Before the fun on HBO, here’s a serious discussion of American values. It’s a bipartison affair, with host Margaret Hoover (a Republican), Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (a Democrat), Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch (a Trump appointee) and Stanley McChrystal (a retired general).

3) “Taylor” (2025), 8-10 p.m., CW. At a New Jersey park, a girl saw a 12-year-old confidently singing original songs to a few people. It was her first glimpse of Taylor Swift, whose music often nudged her through tough times. That’s one of many revealing snapshots of Swift (a week before her expected wedding), sometimes through the eyes of her fans.

4) “Boston Blue,” 10 p.m., CBS. A murder case leads to one of Boston’s most infamous unsolved crimes. That rerun follows others for “Sheriff Country” (Mickey’s torn between the federal drug agents and loyalty to community) and “Fire Country” (Bode is in a drunk-driving drill).

5) MORE: World Cup games are at 3, 8 and 11 p.m. ET on Fox, Fox Sports1 and Telemundo; they also stream on Peacock and Fox One. PBS reruns the second half of its George H.W. Bush profile at 9. Movies range from classic cartoons (“Dumbo” and “Pinocchio” at 1 and 2:30 p.m. on Freeform) to the epic “Black Panther,” at 8 on FX.
