1) “A Streetcar Named Desire” (1951), 8 p.m. ET, Turner Classic Movies. This may be the best-acted movie ever. It won Oscars for Vivien Leigh (shown here), Kim Hunter and Karl Malden. There were 11 nominations over all, including ones for best picture and for the searingly brilliant work of Marlon Brando (shown here), whose films are on TCM all day today.
2) MORE MOVIES: Two excellent Disney cartoons overlap. It’s “Moana” (2016), at 7:35 p.m. on Freeform, and “Mulan” (1998), at 8 on the Disney Channel. And BBC America has masters of broad comedy — Mel Brooks’ “Robin Hood: Men in Tights” (1993), at 6:30 and John Landis directing Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi in “The Blues Brothers” (1993) at 9.
3) “Law & Order,” 8 p.m., NBC. For the first time in two months, NBC has an all-“L&O” Thursday. That starts with the murder of a CEO, shortly before his wedding; there may be clues in his will. It’s a rerun, as are two “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” hours. The 9 p.m. one probes professional fighting; at 10, a teen is dumped outside a hospital,
4) “Elsbeth,” 10 p.m., CBS. This goes back a bit, rerunning one of the better episodes from the previous season. Joining tourists to view classic crime spots, Elsbeth can’t help re-investigating a murder. Alyssa Milano has a key guest role as a member of the family that owns an Italian restaurant..
5) ALSO: At 8 p.m., ABC’s “Family Feud” has Bow Wow vs. Rickey Smiley and Steve Aoki vs. Joel Kim Booster. At 9, Fox’s “Best Medicine” rerun has rumors of a plague outbreak. And at 10, Freeform’s “Project Runway” pits this season against the previous one, in a materials showdown.
