So there will be a new Queen Charlotte, after all.
This one isn’t in England, where the real Princess Charlotte is third in line for her grandfather’s throne, behind her dad and older brother. It’s in the fictional world of “Bridgerton.”
The first two seasons (still available on Netflix) had Golda Rosheuvel as the old — and rather grumpy — queen. Now, however, news comes of the prequel.
“Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story” (no date yet) will star India Amarteifio (shown here) a the young and sexy Charlotte.
We’ll see her debutante days and her romance with George, leading to the throne and to0 transformative times in this make-believe world, based on novels and produced by Shonda Rhimes of “Scandal” and “Grey’s Anatomy” fame.
