1) “SWAT,” 9 p.m., CBS. We’re two weeks from the end of an eight-year run. Tonight (shown here), an hour earlier than usual), there’s an explosion at a fruit-packing facility staffed by prisoners; six of them escape. Hondo and the team try to find them before they pull off a high-stakes robbery.
2) “Hollywood Squares” return, 8 p.m., CBS. Here’s the rest of the CBS shift: “Fire Country” moves to 10 p.m. for reruns, “NCIS: Sydney” rests and “Square” returns. Its first half-hour includes Vicki Lawrence (who first did “Squares” 55 years ago), Tig Notaro and Russell Peters; the second includes Tiffany Haddish, Kevin Nealon and JB Smoove,
3) “Grosse Pointe Garden Society,” 8 p.m., NBC. Previous episodes have flashed forward to the night of the gala, when anger rages – especially between Alice’s husband and her gardening colleague. Now this hour focuses on that night; things do not go smoothly.
4) Sports. It’s a night for Game 6 (if necessary) in some seven-game play-off series. For basketball, that’s on ESPN and ESPN2; for hockey, it’s TBS, TNT and TruTV. For an alternative, Fox has the United Football League at 8 p.m. ET, with Arlington and St. Louis.
5) “Now Hear This,” 9 p.m., PBS. The two classical-guitar superstars, Andres Segovia and Augustin Barrios, kept intersecting. “There could not possibly be two more different people,” guitar expert Federico Sheppard says here. Segovia was big-city, Barrios was “from a very remote part of Paraguay” and sometimes dismissed; here, Scott Yoo visits his life and music.
