1) “The 1% Club” season-opener, 8 p.m., Fox. One of TV’s best games is back, in some ways better than ever. Patton Oswalt was an excellent host the first year; Joel McHale (shown here) is even better, bantering with the sometimes-quirky contestants. This opener’s answers can be devilish; at times, it’s even hard to understand the question. Still, this is great fun.
2) “The Snake” debut, 9 p.m. Tuesday, Fox. Imagine a survival struggle in a house filled with lawyers … or salesmen, or influencers or such. This starts with 15 people from persuasive professions. Each week, a challenge determines “the snake” — who decides whom to oust. Those persuasive skills are needed to survive. Jim Jefferies hosts.
3) “America’s Got Talent,” 8-10 p.m., NBC. In the show’s previous 19 seasons, we’re told, it has never had a robot-dog boy band. Now that void is filled. Afterward, “Destination X” gets complicated, with emerging romance.
4) “NCIS: Origins,” 9 p.m., CBS. Here’s a rerun of the season-finale, a powerful one focusing on Cecelia (better known as Lala), the intense Marine. It’s sandwiched by reruns of “NCIS” at 8 and “NCIS: Sydney” (painful memories for Doc Roy) at 10.
5) “Free Guy” (2021), FX; or “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” (2004), HBO; both 8 p.m. Both movies toy cleverly with alternate realities. In “Free Guy,” Ryan Reynolds discovers he’s a background player for a video game. In “Eternal,” Jim Carrey and Kate Winslett can wipe away memories.
