2) “Shared Planet” finale, 10 p.m., PBS. This final hour (of four) is all about water, but it has plent of animals. We see half-ton bears in Alaska, sleek jaguars in Brazil and — most importantly — beavers. (An Idaho rancher brought them in, solving his drought problems.) The opening segment is weak, but some excellent ones follow.

3) Sports surge. Basketball and hockey are both in their conference finals now, one step from the overall championship. Tonight, hockey is at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN, basketball at 8:30 on NBC and Peacock, with pre-game at 7. And the WNBA, early in its season, has games at 7 and 9 on USA.

4) “Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent,” 9 p.m., CW. Some solidly made Canadian dramas are on CW, both new episodes (“Sullivan’s Crossing,” 8 p.m. Mondays) and reruns (“Wild Cards,” 9 p.m. Tuesdays) and this one. Here’s the second one in the series: Clever cops link a condo murder to a cold-case from 20 years ago.

5) ALSO: At 8 p.m., Fox’s “MasterChef” has an eggs benedict challenge. That faces reruns on ABC (“The Greatest Average American”) and CBS: David Attenborough probes nature’s remarkable communication via song.
