1) “Anna Pigeon” debut, 10 p.m. Friday, USA Network. Anna (Tracy Spiridakos of “Chicago P.D.”) has big-city roots and an arts degree. But after her husband was killed, she became a detective park ranger in Montana; now she finds life-and-death crises, including one (shown here) tonight. Despite flaws (dense boss, absurd failure to address injuries), it’s a strong story with solid, likable people.
2) “Chasing the Moon,” 9-11 p.m., PBS. This wraps up an excellent, three-part “American Experience” rerun, tracing the space race. Now it’s time for man to walk on the moon.
3) “Sheriff Country,” 9 p.m., CBS. This is nudged back an hour, to make room for “Big Brother: Unlocked.” That ousts “Fire Country” … but a “Fire” character shows up here: Sharon Leone (Diane Farr), Bode’s mom, has an uncomfortable meal with the sheriff, her stepsister. At 10 p.m., “Boston Blue” has a serial killer who may know the whereabouts of a missing boy.
4) “The Dark Knight” (2008) and “The Dark Knight Rises” (2012), 5:45 and 9 p.m., TNT. People obsessing on Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheiner” and “Odyssey” might want to catch two of his previous epics. They have a dark palette (that’s Nolan), dark moods and potent action.
5) “Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness” finale, 9 p.m., HBO. Larry David wraps his satiric look at American history. That’s preceded at 5:45 by “Green Lantern” (2011), the movie in which Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively met; they married the next year and have four children. Now a “Lanterns” series (without them) starts Aug. 16.
