Best-bets for June 4: new hours from CW and Apple

1) “Sherlock & Daughter,” 9 p.m., CW. Throughout this first season (a good one), Holmes (David Thewlis, shown here) has been limited: The Red Thread group kidnapped his friend Watson and threatens to kill him. 2) “Sullivan’s Crossing,” 8 p.m., CW. Maggie, the former Boston surgeon, seems happy to be back home in Canada, but now her loved ones are deeply troubled. Her boyfriend Cal (Chad Michael Murray) has torn feelings about his dad. Her father Sully (Scott Patterson) worries about the futures of his resort and of Rob’s burned-out diner.

3) “Stick” openers, Apple TV+. Luke Wilson plays a former pro golfer who lost his money, marriage and hope. His comeback chance involves coaching a teen hot-shot. Today has the first three episodes of the 10-part season, with Judy Greer and Marc Maron in support and Timothy Olyphant in a guest role.

4) “MasterChef,” 8 p.m., Fox. Last week, Gordon Ramsay chose eight duos of home cooks. Now the rejected pairs get a second chance, with four more spots open. At 9, “Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service” probes and then helps a long-running soul-food restaurant in Phoenix.

5) ALSO: The hockey season peaks, with the Stanley Cup finals on TNT. The first games (in best-of-seven) are 8 p.m. ET today and Friday in Edmonton; on Monday, things move to Florida. Also at 8 p.m. today, HBO has “Pride & Prejudice” (2005). Using words sparsely, director Joe Wright and star Keira Knightley captured deep emotions visually.
