1) “Holidazed” opener, 8 and 9 p.m., Hallmark. Last year, this ambitious mini-series (shown here) helped launch Hallmark+; now it moves to the general channel. The first episode meets families on a cul-de-sac, re-uniting for Christmas. The next ones tell their stories, one family per hour, leading to the overall finale in the eighth episode.
2) “Nautilus,” 9 p.m., AMC, rerunning at 10:12. At sea, this adventure can seen too confined — even with the arrival of a giant octopus. Fortunately, there’s an island with a palace and some odd adventures. This gets a bit broad at times, but does have moments of zestful color and action.
3) “Patience,” 8 p.m., PBS. Mystery buffs love the notion of a locked-room murder. Now the police encounter one; Patience Evans, autistic and brilliant, can’t hide her delight. It’s an excellent hour, leading to a good “Grantchester” that nudges into Alphy’s difficult past.
4) Movies. Three great filmmakers have movies tonight. Steven Spielberg’s “Jurassic Park” (the original one, from 1993) is 7 p.m. on CW. Rob Reiner’s jaunty “Princess Bride” (1987) is 9:03 on ABC. Mike Nichols’ darkly potent “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” (1966) is 5:45 p.m. ET on Turner Classic Movies, leading into Monty Python gems at 8 and 10.
5) “Tracker” and “Watson,” 9 and 10 p.m., CBS. Sometimes, shows try too hard to seize attention. “Tracker” has a good story about a New Orleans teen, then lets it veer toward extremes. “Watson” then goes overboard, with an ugly and overblown tale involving the twins, an antidote and Moriarty.
