1) “Call the Midwife,” 8 p.m., PBS. Setting up next week’s deeply moving finale, “Midwife” (shown here in a previous episode) juggles key stories. There’s Rosalind’s romance … Sister Monica Joan’s health troubles … and a girl we met a decade ago, when she was born with defects linked to thalidomide.
2) More dramas, PBS. At 9, the four-part “MaryLand” begins to rerun; two sisters find life-changing surprises after their mother’s death on the Isle of Man. It’s a good one, but “The Count of Monte Cristo” (10 p.m.) is only so-so. Tonight, Edmond gathers damning evidence and is challenged to a duel.
3) “Marshals,” 8 p.m., CBS. When a prison bus overturns, the marshals rush to treat the injured and capture the escapees; country-music star Riley Green has his third episode as Garrett, a troubled ex-SEAL. That’s followed by “Tracker” (Reenie’s witness is missing) and the series finale of “Watson,” with Eddie Izzard as Col. Sebastian Moran, Watson’s nemesis.
4) “The Audacity,” 9 p.m., AMC, rerunning at 10:15. Duncan fights (literally) and struts, in ways that will disturb some viewers. Don’t worry; in the final minute, we see a twist that could stop him cold. Meanwhile, there are great stories about his equally deluded wife and about the troubled families of his theerapist and his sometimes-lover.
5) ALSO: Two Tom Cruise epics collide: “Top Gun: Maverick,” 6 p.m., AMC and “”Mission Impossible — The Final Reckoning,” 6:10. MGM+. Turner Classic Movies has the cowboy classic “The Searchers” (1956) at 8 ET, while the Story TV sub-channel profiles real cowboys — Wild Bill Hickok (11 a.m. and 7 p.m. ET), Butch and Sundance (noon and 8) and more.
