1) “Suffs,” 9 p.m. Friday, PBS. For the next four Fridays, PBS delivers Broadway-style specials. That starts with this musical (shown here) about women’s struggle to get the vote; Shaina Taub won Tonys for her words and music; she also stars as Alice Paul. Coming up: “Top Hat” silliness … a powerhouse Nicole Scherzinger concert … and a fascinating documentary.
2) “Grey’s Anatomy” season-finale, 10 p.m. Thursday, ABC. The 22nd season ends with a crisis (the aftermath of last week’s bridge-collapse) and changes. It’s the final episode for Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Teddy (Kim Raver); they’ve been there for 18 and 12 seasons. Nick (Scott Speedman), who’s been scarce in recent years, may be back as a victim.
3) More ABC season-finales. At 10 p.m. today, it’s “The Rookie,” with a high-stakes search for a notorious criminal. Lucy’s leadership is questioned, Wesley tests his friendships and Nolan juggles family and work. That’s followed by the finales of “Will Trent” (8 p.m. Tuesday) and everything Thursday — two “9-1-1” shows and “Grey’s Anatomy.”
4) “American Idol,” 8-10 p.m. today, ABC. A week from the finale, this has its final five — Hannah Harper, Jordan McCullough, Keyla Richardson, Chris Tungseth and Braden Rumfelt. Pretending to be a 20th-year class reunion, its guests include some people from 2006 (when Taylor Hicks and Katharine McPhee finished 1-2) and from “Dancing With the Stars.”
5) “NCIS: Origins” season-finale, 9 p.m. Tuesday, CBS. The other “NCIS” shows end their seasons next week, but this has =an early exit, while groping with questions. For Gibbs, there was the sudden marriage to Diane Sterling. For everyone, there are rumors that the base will close, with everyone re-assigned. And for someone, there will be a cliffhanger.
6) “MasterChef,” 8 p.m. Wednesday, Fox. This season has American home chefs representing their families’ food traditions from afar. So fare, there are teams for Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific; now it’s time to choose five people for the Americas. Gordon Ramsay hosts this and “Next Level Chef,” which (at 8 p.m. Thursday) is down to its final five.
7) David Attenborough’s 100th birthday, Friday. That’s a good day to catch some of the brilliant nature films he produced and narrated. Try “Oceans” on Disney+ and Hulu, “The Year the Earth Changed” on Apple and lots on HBO Max and Britbox. But before that, catch a PBS special at 8 p.m. Wednesday; it recalls his “Life on Earth” series, which spanned 30 countries.
8) “The Hunting Party” finale, 10 p.m. Thursday, NBC. Most of the finales listed here are expected back next season, but “Hunting Party” is shakier. Fortunately, this episode finally finds Col. Lazarus’ secret agenda. And there’s a killer to catch — a master poisoner played by John Corbett, of the “Big Fat Greek Wedding” movies and “Northern Exposure.”
9) “The ’90s Boy Band Boom” (2025), 8-10 p.m. Saturday, CW. In the early ’90s, AJ McLean says here, record sales were all “grunge or rap.” He was in the Backstreet Boys, which sputtered at home, then spent two years abroad. It had wild stunts, loud clothes and sales of 130 million records. This fun film traces a time filled with odd touches and bouncy music.
10) “Call the Midwife” finale, 8 p.m. Sunday, PBS. For 15 years, this has juggled dark stories and warm emotions. Now this version is ending; plans call for a feature film, a prequel series and (possibly in a couple years) some of these characters in a new setting. For now, there are deeply moving stories about Rosalind’s romance and Sister Monica Joan’s health.
