Best-bets for June 16: big night for documentaries

1) “Becoming Katharine Graham,” 9-11 p.m., PBS. A rich socialite, Graham (shown here) was a friend of Kennedys and Reagans. 2) Reruns, ABC. The network expected to have basketball today, but that was squelched by the New York Knicks’ amazing run. After winning 65 percent of their games in the regular season, they went on a 15-1 tear to wrap up the playoffs. That is, incidentally, 15-0 in games not attended by the president.

3) “America’s Got Talent,” 8 p.m., NBC. Here’s the third round of auditions. Afterward, at 10 p.m., “Password” has Jimmy Fallon facing Ice-T.

4) Documentary reruns, HBO. At 6:21 p.m. is the three-part “Bring Me the Beauties,” about a big-money model who gave most of his money to an odd cult. Then are portraits of two powerhouse forces in music from the ’70s, ’80s and beyond — Earth, Wind & Fire at 9:17 and Donna Summer at 11:20.

5) ALSO: There’s no more basketball, but lots of soccer. Fox has World Cup games at 3. 6 and 9 p.m. ET, followed by Fox Sports1 at midnight. Also, CBS reruns its “NCIS” shows, starting with a rush to help someone who’s been framed. And at 8 p.m. ET, MGM+ has the brilliant, Oscar-winning “Shakespeare in Love” (1998).
