1) “Big Brother: Unlocked” season-opener, 8 p.m., CBS. For its second season, this show — airing on alternate Fridays — is expanding. It adds a studio audience and Jerry O”Connell, who is a “Big Brother” fan. He’ll join Taylor Hale and Derrick Levasseur (shown here last season) for behind-the-scenes perspectives.
2) “American Experience,” 9-11 p.m., PBS. Over the next two Fridays, PBS reruns its John Kennedy profile. We flash back to a time when — even with the Bay of Pigs, Cuban missile crisis and early days of Vietnam — Americans felt like they had an idealistic president who was on their side.
3) “Moana” (2016), 8:35 p.m., Freeform. On the day that the non-cartoon remake reaches theaters, the original airs here. It’s a gem, on a night filled with major animated movies. Freeform also has “Brave” (2012) at 6:30 p.m. … the Disney Channel has “Zootopia” (2016) at 8 … and FX has the “Cars” films at 4:30, 7 and 9:30.
4) Soccer, Fox. Here’s the World Cup, present and past. At 3 p.m. ET, Spain faces Belguim, for a spot in the semi-finals. At 8 is “The Summer of ’94,” a documentary about a makeshift U.S. team, stretching for wins while hosting the Cup. And at 11, James Corden has his Cup talk show.
5) “This is UFC: McGregor vs. Holloway,” 9-10 p.m., CBS. Once known as The Tiffany Network — that was long ago — CBS now devotes a primetime hour to promoting a fight that will stream on its corporate partner.
